Position Description - Vice President (President -Elect)
The President Elect will be prepared to assume the office of President or temporarily act in that position at any time. The President Elect will be familiar with the duties and responsibilities of the President, and of the other elected officers and committee chairpersons.
- The President Elect is responsible for overseeing the activities and progress of the various committees and programs.
- A large part of the responsibility of the President Elect is to work closely with the President in preparation for their own term as serving as President.
- Works closely with the president to insure acquisition of skills and knowledge to make a smooth transition to president the following year.
- Oversees committee activities and is the filtering individual for all committee issues or questions that seem to be in dispute.
- Works closely with the president to develop the strategy, plan, budget and mission/vision for the chapter.
- Works closely with the president to develop leaders from within the membership and committees to have a constant source of leadership
