Biography: Since her introduction to coaching in 1995, Linda Miller has focused on the launch and expansion of coaching within organizations. From 1997-2000, Linda helped launch Corporate Coach U, a leader in organizational coach training. For the past 8 years, Linda has served as an executive coach and Global Liaison for Coaching with The Ken Blanchard Companies. Linda is a former ICF board member and founding recipient of the Master Certified Coach designation. She has been featured in numerous articles and has written two books, including her latest release co-authored with Madeleine Homan, Coaching in Organizations: Best Coaching Practices from The Ken Blanchard Companies.

Identifying Invisible Influencers - How Four Key Areas Determine Client Behavior

With skilled listening, artful questioning and a few tools, a coach can connect with a client to identify these influencers and recognize the role they play in the client's life. Coach Randy partners with teens to inspire, motivate and empower them to achieve their personal goals and dreams, while teaching them valuable strategies to overcome the obstacles and challenges they encounter. Adult Development Theory and Coaching Practice: Meeting Clients Where They Are

In this interactive workshop, we will explore how simple stress reduction techniques can provide immediate benefits through greater clarity, creativity - and spaciousness. You'll leave with new insights and intriguing questions to ponder! Biography: Faith Halter is a leadership coach and organizational consultant, as well as a craniosacral therapist and yoga teacher. She incorporates stress reduction and body awareness into all her work. This is sometimes very subtle and sometimes central, depending on her client's needs and style. Faith approaches concepts such as mindfulness, spaciousness and stillness with a light touch and a strong infusion of humor. Previously, Faith spent over twenty years in the environmental field, first as an attorney with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and later as a freelance consultant and coach, working in more than twenty countries worldwide.
The Imposter Phenomenon: Keeping Careers on Track Through Coaching

These are the words that many professionals fear most and tell themselves more often than they care to admit. It's called the Imposter Phenomenon (IP), a feeling high achievers experience when they deny that their accomplishments are "real." It has been well documented that careers can be derailed as a result of IP symptoms. This session focuses on resilience and how persons who experience the Imposter Phenomenon cope in their work and personal lives, based on preliminary results from a national study. Applications for coaching are explored through case studies and interactions with the audience. Biography: Susan M. Hahn, is the president of Swan Consulting Group, Inc., an executive coaching and consulting organization. In addition to serving as President of Swan Consulting Group, Susan is adjunct faculty at Johns Hopkins University, The College of Notre Dame and the University of Maryland. She is part of the U.S. training team for an international school of coaching, and manages coaches who work on behalf of the Swan Coaching Academy. Prior to founding Swan Consulting Group in 2001, Susan served for 23 years in executive positions, most recently as Vice President & COO for a Behavioral Health System. Biography: Karen L Pell, PhD is an associate of Swan Consulting Group, Inc., and President of VIA Consulting LLC. Her focus is organizational development targeted to non profits and small businesses in the Baltimore-Washington corridor. For thirty years she worked in human services, health care and higher education. Her coaching practice is launching, as she completes her Results Coaching Systems intensive training this spring. ICF Credentialing Made Easier Presenters: Gary Boyler, Executive Director of ICF, and Ed Modell, PCC, Past President of the Metro DC Chapter Session Handout: Click Here to Download Session Description: Gary and Ed will present a workshop with information about how to apply for the ICF credentials of Accredited Certified Coach (ACC), Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and Master Certified Coach (MCC). They will review the requirements for each credential in terms of coach training, client coaching hours, mentoring (if applicable), and references. There will also be a question and answer period and who to contact for more information after the conference.
